SaferPhone Transparency Statement

A warrant canary is a regularly renewed statement confirming that we have not received any secret government orders. If this page stops being updated or disappears, that should be understood as a warning sign.

As of September 13, 2026, SaferPhone confirms the following:

  • We have not received a National Security Letter.
  • We have not received a secret government order accompanied by a gag order.
  • We have not been compelled to build a backdoor into our systems or the devices we sell.
  • We have not received an order for the covert, bulk disclosure of customer data.
  • To our knowledge, our systems have not been compromised.
  • We have not received an order to secretly alter the integrity of GrapheneOS on shipped devices.

Data Security: Our database is stored fully encrypted with AES-256. We only collect the data necessary to process orders and provide customer support — including the statutory retention period for orders under German tax law (§ 147 AO).
